The quality of New Testament 2

Oh Milky Anime, what are you doing? If it wasn't bad enough the first volume of New Testament didn't contain the Japanese audio track, the second volume has been watered down! There are a lot of rumors and forum posts concerning the animation quality of Bible Black: New Testament Volume 2.

I have watched the R2 and the R1 version. The problems affect Rule, they do not affect Recollection. But it's pretty bad, but at least only episode 3 (Rule) is affected. The animation is changed, details are missing, it looks cheap. Animation sequences have been replaced with still/panning shots. Objects and scenery have been removed. The flesh tones, facial blush, and expressions have been removed. The beautiful sheen that was characteristic of Bible Black is gone. If you didn't know it was BB, you could easily mistake it for any run of the mill hentai.

Some annoying people at the HongFire forums seem to think that because BB is a hentai, the fans have no basis to be upset with the sub-standard release. What a load of bullshit. BB is a commercial property, and with the exception of the Second Sacrament episodes, it has a proven to be a high-quality release. The fans have come to expect the same standard of quality.

The AOD thread now has a comment from John Sirabella, the Media Blasters studio rep.
"Just got back from GenCon and Otakon and checked into it. To say the least I am a little pissed off...I am checking into it now and speaking with the licensor and see what happen. It can be as simple as they shipped us the wrong master and it seems it was not the final master in the creation of ep 3 or it seems like they created a special version, my guess since this is the only ep like this that they just shipped us the wrong one.
We did not catch it as BB eps do go up and down in quality in the series but will get down to what happened. After all we went through with the subs I am just about to go back to Cecil County and jump off of one of the hills into the Susquhana!!"

I am very concerned for the future of the international Bible Black releases. Are MB/Kitty and Milky going to start releasing an uncut version, with all the missing animation in-tact to milk money from the fans? I will post some comparison screen shots later this month.
